Abstract
Како је познато, млади класичар Милман Пари и још млађи асистент Алберт Лорд отишли су у Краљевину Југославију да би у сусрету с живом усменом традицијом решили хомерско питање. На крају за право нису добили ни аналитичари ни унитаристи јер је само питање нестало пред увидом да су хомерски епови традиционалне усмене творевине. Ново схватање усменог текста, као истовремено флуидног и формулативног, односно откриће целе нове поетике и естетике усмености, као радикално другачије од писане књижевности, проширило се далеко ван класичних наука, на друге филологије све до проучавања медија или хип хопа.
